Must-See Acer Innovations from COMPUTEX 2025

This year’s COMPUTEX was a blast into the AI future that’s rapidly becoming our new reality. Over 86,000 visitors from more than 152 countries flocked to an unseasonably hot Taipei and found refuge in the cool halls of the Nangang Exhibition Center between 20 and 23 May 2025, where the world’s tech giants and startups displayed their finest wares.

If you’re wondering what we’re going on about, and in case you missed our previous article introducing the expo, COMPUTEX is Asia’s leading exhibition of AIoT and startups. COMPUTEX 2025 had three themes: AI & Robotics, Next-Gen Tech, and Future Mobility. The expo highlighted both the latest, greatest developments, and their real world applications.

The stars of this year’s expo included Pegatron’s human-machine integration technologies, interactive biomimetic robot dogs, and immersive VR devices. Other crowd pleasers included intelligent technologies from Advantech and Solomon: autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), collaborative robotic arms, and AIoT platforms.

While AI and robotics may have stolen the show at COMPUTEX and many other tech expos globally, let’s not forget all of the notable developments in other fields. This year Acer showcased several groundbreaking new products, from powerful lightweight laptops to earphones that translate between 15 languages. In case you missed the expo, you’re in luck, as we’ll bring you up to speed on the coolest Acer products showcased at COMPUTEX 2025. Let’s jump right in!

1. FreeSense Ring

These four electric scooter models are equipped with 400-500W motors, as well as adaptive braking systems for the vicissitudes of urban driving. Performance and security settings can be seamlessly managed via Acer’s intuitive eMobility App, making these electric scooters a smart choice for urban commuting. The Predator eRanger, a fat-tire beast first unveiled at the Taipei Cycle Show earlier in 2025 was also spotted at COMPUTEX 2025. Designed to conquer all terrains, the Predator eRanger’s 750-W rear-hub motor can hit speeds of up to 45 km/h.
