What is COMPUTEX?
As the name suggests, COMPUTEX is a computer exhibition, also known as COMPUTEX Taipei, and the Taipei International Information Technology Show. Since its inception in 1981 as the Taipei Computer Show, the expo has grown in scope and scale in line with global developments. Known as COMPUTEX since 1986, the expo swiftly evolved from showcasing Taiwanese SMB’s products. Today, the expo is one of the biggest and most important platforms worldwide for computer manufacturers to present their latest and greatest product developments.
COMPUTEX has been held annually in the Nangang district of Taipei at the Taipei International Convention Center, as well as the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall (TaiNEX) since its construction in 2008. Apart from a cancellation in 2020 due to COVID, and an online-only COMPUTEX 2021 Virtual, the expo continues to grow in popularity, attracting visitors from far and wide.
