1. IEM Katowice 2024 

IEM Katowice 2024 is the first Counter-Strike 2 Major Championship, organized by ESL and sponsored by Valve and Acer Predator. It will take place from February 9 to February 11, 2024, in Katowice, Poland, with a total prize pool of $1,000,000. The tournament will feature 24 teams from three regions: Europe, Asia, and Americas, who will compete in three stages: the Opening Stage, the Elimination Stage, and the Playoffs Stage. The Group Stages will start on January 31, 2024, and will use a double-elimination format with best-of-three matches. IEM Katowice 2024 is one of Europe’s biggest esports events, as it showcases the best CS2 teams in the world and attracts thousands of fans to the Spodek Arena, a venue that has hosted many epic CS2 battles in the past.

As an official sponsor of the tournament, Acer Predator will be showcasing two new products at the Counter Strike 2 station. 2. PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024

The PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 is the first Counter-Strike 2 Major Championship, organized by PGL and sponsored by Valve. It will take place from March 17 to March 31, 2024, in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a total prize pool of $1,250,000. The tournament will feature 24 teams from three regions: Europe, Asia, and Americas, who will compete in three stages: the Opening Stage, the Elimination Stage, and the Playoffs Stage. The PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 is one of Europe’s biggest esports events, as it showcases the best CS2 teams in the world and attracts thousands of fans to the Royal Arena, a venue that has hosted many epic CS2 battles in the past.

3. League of Legends EMEA Championship 2024 (LEC Seasons Finals 2024) 

The League of Legends EMEA Championship, formerly known as the European League of Legends Championship Series (2013–2018) and the League of Legends European Championship (2019–2022), is a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends. The 2024 season finals, which will be held in Munich, Germany, marks the 12th season of the championship and the second year of the newly merged EMEA’s rebranded professional League. While the official dates and arena for the event have not been announced, it's anticipated to occur between August and September 2024. Following last year's impressive cash prize of $175,000, expectations are high for a similarly substantial prize pool this year.  

For those of you who can’t wait, the LEC Winter 2024 tournament is currently underway, running from January 13th to February 18th at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. Right now, 10 elite teams are locked in intense competition, each battling for a prized spot in this year's EMEA Championship.

4.  League of Legends World Championship 2024 

The League of Legends World Championship, commonly known as Worlds, is an annual professional esports tournament hosted by Riot Games. Founded in 2011, it has grown into one of the world’s most prestigious and watched tournaments, with the 2018 final watched by 99.6 million people. The 2024 Season World Championship, also known as Worlds 2024, will be held in Europe. The Swiss Stage and Play-ins will take place at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany while the Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be hosted at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France. The grand finals will culminate at the O2 Arena in London on November 2, 2024. The tournament will feature 20 teams from various regions, although the specific tournament rules are not yet available. The prize pool for the tournament is not yet confirmed, but previous Worlds events have had substantial prize pools, with the 2023 event having a prize pool of just under $2.23 million. The event’s global reach, high level of competition, and significant prize pool contribute to its status as one of Europe’s biggest esports events.

5. DreamHack Stockholm 2024 

DreamHack, recognized by the Guinness Book of Records and Twin Galaxies as the world’s largest LAN party and computer festival, was founded in 1994 by a group of Swedish computer enthusiasts in Malung, Sweden. Over the years, it has grown into a global phenomenon, hosting events throughout Europe and North America. DreamHack Stockholm 2024, set to take place at Stockholmsmässan from November 22-24, marks a significant expansion of DreamHack into the gaming capital of Scandinavia. While the specific details about the tournament rules and the number of teams are not yet available, DreamHack events typically feature a large number of teams and a substantial prize pool. The event’s focus on LAN parties, gaming, esports, and various other activations and events, including music acts and parties, contributes to its status as one of Europe’s biggest esports events. The prize pool for DreamHack events has historically been substantial, with previous events offering up to $250,000.
